Lots of exciting things have been happening at SWBTS Libraries this
year. We have had several new hires over the past few months. I look
forward to the experience and ideas that they will bring.
Here are some projects that I have helped work on this semester:
- Dr. Jason Runnels, assistant music librarian, and I have made
several videos that highlight the music archives. We have a lot of rare
treasures in that collection along with a lot of fun things such as
music instruments from around the world. These videos are called
#MusicMonday and are posted on our social media account Monday evenings.
Click Here to watch them. Please let me know if you can think of any ways that can improve.
- Also, we have started a Content DM Archive. This will include all our chapels from 1949 until now. Also, I will work in coordination with the archives department on scanning primary documents from B.H. Carroll and L.R. Scarborough. Click here to browse through our items. Please let me know if you have any ideas on improving our system.
- Some of you may remember that I started doing a Rephotography project
at MBTS. This is where you take pictures from the past and restage them
in modern times. Here are a few that we did this past semester at
SWBTS.
